he could be that boy, but I'm not that girl..........

Sometimes life hands you a real gem.  Never let them go.  Make sure you tell them the truth always.  Make sure they know how special they are to you.  Make sure you tell them how much you love them.  They may assume, but making sure they know will make everything they do that much more amazing.  It makes everything they do special - even when it's picking you up off the ground after you've give up on life......

  1. Very nice thought, but what if you can't tell them. Sometimes, its just not possible to tell them how special they are to you and even if you tell them, it doesn't matter or change anything.

  2. I feel ya on that - I've encountered that a few times too. I think that most of the time telling someone is the biggest part, and if they choose to do nothing with it then it's on them. And while it's not always possible to tell them face to face (whether it's because they have passed on, you've lost contact, it would be awkward, etc), I have find writing it out helps - even if it sits in a desk for five years or you just toss it.

Much to my chagrin, I am an eternal optimist - no matter how bad things get, or how much I feel like giving up, the universe always seems to find a way to show me it's not that bad (or it's my sister telling me that there is someone out there that has it worse off then me and seems to be making it work). I know that sometimes people do stupid things, but as long as you hold on to that good, special thing(or things, as the case may be) you will eventually move forward...and having a glass of ice handy never hurt either.
